1950's Eero Saarinen Knoll Womb Chair
Fresh from our upholsterer is this special early edition Knoll Womb Chair designed by Eero Saarinen.
The chair has been given all new foam and is covered in seven yards of Knoll Classic Boucle in Neutral (an oatmeal color) staying true to how the chair was intended to be covered.
Unlike most other womb chairs that claim to be vintage, this one truly is, as noted by the rare flat/welded on feet that are only found on womb's made in the 50's.
The upholstery was completely hand sewn as was originally intended when the chair was designed. (On current production Womb chairs by Knoll they have put unsightly welting around the perimeter of the frame to save costs and conceal the machined seam).
The matte black frame is in very good condition with minimal cosmetic issues.
