We’re proud to offer this vintage Swan Chair designed by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Designed in 1958, the swan chair has been one of the most iconic and recognizable from the mid century era. The Fritz Hansen foil label is still attached to the, early model, solid aluminum, fluted base.
The base shows a beautiful patina. As it is solid aluminum it could be buffed and polished if you wanted it to look new and shiny, but we personally think that would be an injustice to the story this chair tells.
Covered in Maharam Hallingdal Salt and Pepper wool upholstery designed by Nana Ditzel in 1965, Hallingdal quickly became the quintessential upholstery of the era, and remains just as popular today. Foam is soft and supple.
