Finn Juhl's model 137 "Japan" chair was designed in 1953 for France & Søn and imported to the US by John Stuart.

Their teak frames takes inspiration from the Miyajima water gate in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima.

Finn Juhl considered it a low easy chair for reading & relaxing- ideally suited for watching TV. This beautiful pair have just been reupholstered in rich Knoll Boucle fabric in Ivory.

Structurally solid with teak frames exuding a beautiful patina and color richness only found in old growth teak.
